Church Cross in China removed by Police

China police took down cross in a church early morning in eastern china, due to amid crackdown with church buildings near coastal region in which thousands of people embracing Christianity”.

Qu Linou an Evangelist from other church said “hundred police showed at Longgang Huai En fin the City of Wenzhou, they used crane to remove church cross from the steeple.


Linou said that he and other 200 people flock to the church few hours to protect their church, but the police made a peaceful way to remove those cross. The police authorities said that the church’s cross have violated the height limits of the buildings.  This was the statement of the country’ public office and church authorities have no clue about the said limits.

However upon calling the town police for further clarification, no one have answer phone calls”.

Recently in Zhejiang province, police authorities have threatened topple crosses placed around 130 churches.  Official said that they are only following orders that were forwarded on their office, and they can’t specify specific reason.


Recently the Chinese government were targeting those fast growing religions which an estimated population of 23 million people believers in China. Based from the data presented on China Research Center around 58 million believers in Protestants that has been practicing since 2011, and 9 million believers in Catholic.
