Philippine Navy Law enforcement team
captured a top rank ASG leader, Abdulla code name Abu
Satar captured in Zamboanga City. Satar was caught hiding at an isaland
in Tulnalutan.
Satar has pending arrest warrant
issued by the Philippine government for supporting Abu Sayaf Group for its terrorist
operations. When a tip was reported to the authorities that one of the top Abu
Sayaf leader Satar was hiding on the stated island of Zamboanga City, the task
force in Zamboanga, City Police and Philippine Naval Task operative immediately
planned the operation.
The PG118 known as BRP liwanag
embarked with law enforcement team, naval operations operatives and Naval
Intelligence group in Mindanao join force for the success of the operation.
The operation was accomplished
without any firefight and zero percent casualties to the government and to the
civilian populace on the area.
