Manny Pacquiao’s trainer sharpens left hand punch

Freddie Roach saw Manny’s need to polish his fight signature left straight punch that enabled the Filipino boxing icon to pile up those recorded knockouts early in his boxing career.

In preparation for the Mayweather and Pacquaio’s ultimate fight of the century, Roach held a challenging workout for Pacquiao that entirely focused on his punch throwing on his left hand.

"We did 12 rounds of left hand only. The right hand was never used," said by Freddie Roach on a Lance Pugmire at Los Angeles Times.

Roach told our source that those left hands was paired with a solid footwork and will be one of the keys for Pacquiao to triumph over Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the richest boxing fight ever.

In the early years of Pacquiao used to rely exclusively on his trademark punch the left straight punch, prompting his trainer Roach to help him develop a right hook. And it proved to be very effective for Pacquiao, who have evolved from one-dimensional boxer to a two-fisted fighting machine.

But since the last fight with Miguel Cotto in 2009 Pacquiao has zero knockout score and even close to ending that have brought against his recent fight with Chris Algieri in Macau last year which he have floored up to six times.

Now Roach is back sharpening Pacquiao’s signature punch the left hand the way he had helped him throw right hooks and believing that this punch will knock Mayweather out.
But the everything might changed during the fight we will soon know who will be the winner and the loser next month.
