Robinson R22 single engine
two-bladed light training helicopter was manufactured by R-Helicopter and was
produced since 1979.
Due to its low operating cost,
Robinson R22 has been in-demand in the market. It has very low rotor system with
direct push rods on its control inputs without hydraulic assistance.
Robinson R22 can be transported
without any dismantling or blade folding task, it only requires to secure its
tail boom and the rotor blade when placing it on the truck.
Robinson helicopter has a length
of 8.74m, height 2.72m and weights 389 kilograms can carry up to 635 kilograms powered
by 4 piston flat engine A2C with tank capacity up to 75 liters. Maximum speed
up to 189kmh with a 1,200 ft climb rate. It can fly up to 2 hours with 30
minutes flight reserve.

in United States. Second hand unit price varies on the component type. Philippine Air Force has 1 Robinson R22 unit
in service, currently used as training helicopter.
