Is Olivar dummy of VP Jejomar
Binay or for the former Makati vice—Mayor Mercado?
UNA (United Nationalist Alliance)
now claims that Mr. Olivar a relative and a longtime employee of Mr. Mercado, main
whistle—blower against VPBinay.
UNA said that Olivar one of
Mercado’s fronts in its companies that he used to corner the Php1 billion government
contracts including entire island in the Palawan province, but still showed no
documentary evidence on the said allegations, apart from the said document
showing ownership of the former vice mayor on one firm named as Twinleaf Group.
The Representative of Navotas Tiangco
at the same time UNA’s interim president, dared the Philippine Senators namely Pimentel
III, Cayetano and Trillanes IV that if they believe Mr. Mercado’s claim, they
should also compel Olivar to surrender to government all properties that is under
his name.
Sen. Pimentel chair of Senate subcommittee
is conducting investigation on VPBinay’s alleged ill—gotten wealth. Senators
Trillanes and Cayetano were members of the investigation panel.
“It is mystery why Vice President
will use dummy, constant companion of Mr. Mercado who once rode a helicopter
with staff of Sen. Cayetano which have took video of the Sun champ dated November 2,” Mr. Tiangco asked referring to vast
estate in the Rosario, Batangas province, that was purportedly owned by VPBinay.
“It is really funny for Binay to
take just one person who is not a longtime employee of Mercado but most likely
his relative,” he added.
