Ph-Vice President as expected
didt not attends Senate committee hearing because he was now in Cebu.
In a television news report says
that VP Binay now in Cebu and will be moving to Toledo City where the VP will
be meeting the government officials and the businessmen’s.
The VP will also talk with the
Mayor of Toledo Hon. John Osmeña about the projects in housing and will also
attend the BSP (Boys Scouts of the Philippines) Jamboree Centennial at Cebu
City next day.
VP Binay was also expected to
stay in the City of Cebu till Saturday.
The Philippine Senators has been convincing
Vice President to attend senate hearing of blue ribbon committee hearing so the
people could hear his side and he could personally address accusations on the corruption
issues against him.
However, embattled official repeatedly
said that he would address the said issue in other venue. He also claimed that senators
had already “prejudged him.”
VP Binay accused pocketing money from
construction of alleged overpriced City Hall in Makati. His critics claimed
that the Binay family used the ill—gotten wealth for them to acquire and
develop 350—hectare estate in the Batangas province, and using a dummy in the
person of Antonio Tiu businessman, as owner of the said property.
Senators hoping Binay would
appear today because it was already the mother blue ribbon committee itself sent
invitation, instead of subcommittee headed by Senator Koko III.
