Filipino government started its
implementation for the NCWC (National Coast Watch Center) to facilitate
strategic military operations in which all sectors of the government will be
involved in the construction of the said facility in which this will enhance
maritime security on its territory.
Raytheon firm from use won the
contract to build the said project, PCG commandant Rodolfo Isorena Vice Admiral
on his official statement that the project will be constructed April of this
year and its target completion year by 2015.
National coast watch center is
capable of looking at the strategic areas in which it will be equipped with
advanced radar system from United States Modern technology in which it will disseminate
a radar stations to identify unwanted threats. Overall the project budget is
about USD18 Million which includes the integration of the support data from
various radar systems on the watch center that is under the surveillance
system.
