Any workers who will report for duty
this coming Tuesday and today are entitled to receive extra pay, this was
announced by DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment).
July 27, 2014 was declared by
MalacaƱang as non working holiday to commemorate 100th Years
celebration of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) at the same time July 29 as regular Holiday
for the celebration of Eid’l Fitr, symbolizes the end of Ramadan.

Baldoz said that during holidays, those workers who report shall receive a
double pay on their regular daily pay for the eighth hours of labor and
additional 30 percent in excess for eight hours.
“But for those who choose to
spend their holiday and will not report on work shall get their regular pay
computed daily”, Baldoz said
In the same manner the secretary
stressed that the principle of “No work, No Pay” always apply to all employees
unless there were some company policy regarding agreement on payments involving
special holidays.
Employer must observe proper pay
rules on holidays and other special non working days to create harmony and
productivity on workplace.
