Lt. Col. Canaya the Air Forces
spokesman said that PZL-Swidnik S.A. manufacturer has been notified about the accident
which left 2 persons wounded.
Canaya said on a text message “Sokol
Manufacturer were already notified about the recent incident through its local
representative, they will assist PAF in the resolve of the cause of the misfortune”
The investigation on the accident
will take time but efforts are on the move to accelerate it.
The crashed Sokol helicopter
was still on the site. “It is still on the site but we will be
moving it to a secured place wherein investigators may examine for possible
clues.” AFP official said.
“Efforts by now were done to find
out the damage to assets caused by the mishap,” he added.
Canaya said “the 7 remaining Sokol choppers would
remain grounded until the examination of the accident is completed.”
