Philippine Vice President
allegedly used dummies in order to
hide his possessions when he was the mayor of Makati City, this was said by the
former city vice mayor Mercado in a Senate hearing.
The documents submitted by Mercado
to Senate blue ribbon committee investigating allegedly overpriced Makati Hall parking
building involving 8,877—square meter lot located in Makati City ownership of the
Omni Security and Investigation formerly known as the Omni Security
Investigation General Services.
Mercado testifying on the
committee claimed that VP Binay used certain “Limlingan and Chong” as
fronts in Makati lot, which was a split
between local government and military to house its personnel.
Mercado mentioned certain Limlingan
in his previous testimony in the committee identified him as the finance
officer of Vice President Binay whom he said received kickbacks for his boss VP
Binay.
The property went to the city
government became private property later under the company owned by Chong, who is a contributor of canned
goods.
The lot which costs more than Php1
billion eventually divided into four — one was sold to the Mormons while the
three remained with Chong.
