Philippine warship with “upgraded capabilities” sails back home

BRP Ramon Alcaraz PF16 the Philippines lone Filipino warship was sent to join international maritime exercise held in Australia sailed back home with upgraded capabilities.

BRP Ramon Alcaraz recently participate the multilateral naval exercise hosted by Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and developed interoperability with international navy for capability of personnel and the warship.

The exercise was to enhance our Navy capability against external threat with its personnel getting highly trained in the maneuvering the second—hand Philippine frigate.

BRP Alcaraz utilizing AW109 Augusta Helicopter equipped with night flying capability.

Mogol soon we will develop anti—submarine capability of our navy helicopters and frigate will be attached with a 25—millimeter guns on its sides.


BRP Ramon Alcaraz will be deployed to secure our Malampaya project in the area of the West Philippine Sea, which has been flashpoint in the territorial disputes between the China and Philippines.
