Philippine Navy two Anti—submarine Helicopters acquisition continues

Department of National Defense Bids and Awards Committee posted its invitation to those interested bidders for the Philippine Navy’s 2 anti—submarine helicopters. The said acquisition project has allocated budget of P5.4 billion under Philippines Modernization Act.

The bid invitation was signed by Usec Ecarma the DND—BAC Chairman.


Included in contract price are munitions, ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) and Mission Essential Equipment and.

The pre—bid conference will be held this October 7 at the DND—BAC conference room at 10 AM. First Stage Bid opening on October 21, all interested bidders must submit bid on or before the said date.

The committee released new invitation to bid after several bid reschedules where interested bidders were informed through a supplemental bid bulletin.
Under the Medium Term Development Capability Plan, the winning bidder must deliver goods within seven hundred thirty days.


O the earlier reports states that Philippine Navy is eyeing Agusta Westland 159 “Wildcat”. The Navy variants of the AW159 serving United Kingdom’s Royal Navy and the South Korea’s Navy.
