“Dummy Fail” in the Batangas Property

Antonio Tiu a Businessman failed in convincing Blue Ribbon of the senate that he owns a land called "Hacienda Binay" in Batangas.

As he testify at the haring of sub-committee, Tiu tells his latest investment, and the 150 hectare Agri-Tourism Park in the Rosario town, was then acquired from the person named “Gregorio Laureano” amounting to Php400 million in the year 2013, that was later increased Php446 million.

Tiu also said that the amount was paid in installments basis with Php11 million as down payment made.

After the businessman’s little presentation, the Sub-committee chair of the blue ribbon Senator Pimentel then asked Tiu if he have the said TCT (transfer certificate title).

Tiu told Pimentel that he has on the "usufruct" of the said land or known as right to use of the land.

"'Yung aking pong transfer certificate is upon the completion Na, pag natanggap Na ung full payment KO," the businessman explained.

When he was asked that, if he was the rightful owner of the said property at this moment, Tiu answered “im owner over rights”

"Magiging may ari din tayo," Tiu said.
