Mayweather Sr. thinks that his
son should not waste time going for a fight with Pacquiao. And Pacquiao should
stay away from the undefeated American boxer unless he wants to get beaten
badly elder Mayweather said.
Floyd Sr. again gave his thoughts
on the potential fight between Floyd and Pacquiao, which is currently the
biggest bout that could be made in the boxing entertainment and again sticking
to his belief that his son will come out victorious in a one—sided manner.
“The fight isn’t even worth
talking about,” elder Mayweather said.
“If they fight, you know what is
going to happen to Manny. Even though my son is older now, Floyd is going to
take him apart. It would be a mismatch,” confidently said.
Younger Mayweather took care business
when he outpointed Maidana in a rematch, and in an interesting twist
afterwards, declared he is finally open to fight Pacquiao.
But on the first hand, Pacquiao
must past Algieri, his opponent this coming November, in order to keep Mayweather
bout alive. He has always insisted on his willingness to take on the
pound-for-pound king to settle the debate on who’s the best fighter of this
generation.
