The world’s largest passenger Plane made its first landing in NAIA with piloted by a Filipino

World's largest airplane Airbus A380 made its first ever landing at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Tuesday night.

The said landing was even more very special as A380 an Emirates airline flight from Dubai, was piloted by a Filipino captain, in the name of Franklin Desiderio.


Captain Desiderio the first Filipino certified to fly a double—decker plane. The Emirates super jumbo jet received water—cannon salute upon touching down at NAIA.

Emirates the first airline to use A—380 to Manila for commercial flight, this was according to the aviation news site, a Philippine Flight Network.

President Aquino III was at NAIA to witness A380's arrival. Aquino earlier inspected NAIA, which several travel websites billed as the world's worst airports.


Finally the world's biggest jetliner arrives. Emirates Airlines' latest addition to its fleet, A380 Airbus, parks on tarmac of NAIA Terminal 3 after arriving from dubai for a brief stopover. The Jetliner, piloted by Filipino aviator Capt. Franklyn Mallari Desiderio, is said to be the world's biggest passenger aircraft which can carry more than 800 people
