World's largest airplane Airbus
A380 made its first ever landing at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Tuesday
night.
The said landing was even more very
special as A380 an Emirates airline flight from Dubai, was piloted by a
Filipino captain, in the name of Franklin Desiderio.
Captain Desiderio the first
Filipino certified to fly a double—decker plane. The Emirates super jumbo jet
received water—cannon salute upon touching down at NAIA.
Emirates the first airline to use
A—380 to Manila for commercial flight, this was according to the aviation news
site, a Philippine Flight Network.
President Aquino III was at NAIA
to witness A380's arrival. Aquino earlier inspected NAIA, which several travel
websites billed as the world's worst airports.
Finally the world's biggest
jetliner arrives. Emirates Airlines' latest addition to its fleet, A380 Airbus,
parks on tarmac of NAIA Terminal 3 after arriving from dubai for a brief
stopover. The Jetliner, piloted by Filipino aviator Capt. Franklyn Mallari
Desiderio, is said to be the world's biggest passenger aircraft which can carry
