Voter’s Registration to be suspend by the COMELEC this February

Comelec (Commission on Elections) resolved to suspend voter’s registration for 2016 polls entire month of February of 2015 in order to give way for preparation of (Sangguniang Kabataan) elections.

Comelec released resolution that states entire country be placed under an election period from the first month of 2015 to March 2, 2015 in line with holding of the SK elections February 21.

During this said period, ban on carrying any firearms or any forms of deadly weapons ban on use of the security personnel and any bodyguards to the candidates shall also be in effect.

In the campaign period, the eve of election, and even during Election Day the candidates barred from initiation any donation or any gift cash or kind. The raising funds through the lotteries, dances and even cockfights will be prohibited.

“Maintenance or the construction of barangay, municipal, city, provincial, city, municipal or barangay funded roads, bridges also banned,” Comelec said.
