“BACK OFF” - President Aquino tells China

The Ph—President Aquino asked China to immediately remove its ships that illegally deployed in West Philippine Sea.

Aquino Speaking at ASEAN—China summit at MICC (Myanmar International Convention Center), Pnoy said that the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations values a practical cooperation and its early harvest measures, including the hotlines of search and rescue arrangements.


These stated activities can only be so meaningful if there were concrete encouraging developments on waters of South China Sea,” Aquino said.
President Aquino who spoke before closing of 25th ASEAN Summit in Naypyitaw. Representing President Xi Jinping, is Premier Keqiang who attended the ASEAN closing ceremonies.

Aquino noted that he appreciates warm conversation he had with Xi during Asia—Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in Beijing.

We have agreed to work on the improving relations between two countries, and I believe that the relations can also be improved without sacrificing advocacies, including the efforts to clarify its maritime entitlements through the arbitration.” He said.


“This can be effectively accomplished by pursuing implementation of 2002 ASEAN—China Declaration of Conduct on Parties in South China Sea and early conclusion of legally—binding Code of Conduct in South China Sea,” he added.
