VPBinay to welcome support from each and every one

Vice President of the Philippines Binay welcomes any support from the members of other political parties, including ruling Liberal Party, to strengthen his presidential bid in the 2016 election.

VPBinay issued statement after members of LP reportedly expressed support for the vice president despite of all the accusations of corruption that was raised against him by the former Makati vice mayor Mercado.

Senate subcommittee was also investigating the vice mayor allegations. Vice President’s camp said that the corruption allegations were also part of the efforts by his political foes in order to discredit him and ruin his big chances in the 2016 election. VPBinay remains front—runner in the presidential surveys.

VPBinay’s statement came on heels of President Aquino’s pronouncement that latter may endorse a non—LP candidate as a party standard—bearer in next polls.

VPBinay said that LP leaders would try to come across ways in order to make sure that they remain in power after 2016 “any preference just to keep hold of that goal, to remain in power.

Many members in LP are now nervous” as VPBinay said to reporters at Coconut Palace interview.

VPBinay insist that he is still convinced Interior Secretary Roxas II would end up LP’s standard bearer in the 2016 presidential election.
