Philippine Firearms Manufacturers

“Modernization Program”, it has been the focus of the Philippine government to upgrading its overall defense capabilities thru rigid military trainings, refurbishing vehicles and acquiring vehicles.

Military vehicles, weapons, and armaments are way too expensive. This goal cannot be achieve at a short span of time.

Manufacturing it locally might save huge amount of funds, thus Philippine has local firearms manufacturers.

A mandate from the Philippine Constitution in section 12 of article 12 that says:

“The State shall promote the preferential use of Filipino labor, domestic materials and locally produced goods, and adopt measures that help make them competitive.”

Government agency is mandated to support local manufacturers. ARMSCOR is a Filipino company, manufactured firearms and ammunitions. The 22 TCM was one of their products. ARMSCOR participated in the purchased bidding of firearms but unfortunately lost.

UDMC a Philippine contractor for firearms and defense located at Parañaque, the company provides firearms and tactical equipments to PNP, AFP, PCG and other organization that used firearms. AR-15 carbines and M1911 pistols is their primary products.

 Ferfrans a Cebu based company also provides weapons on PNP and AFP, this company was owned by Francis and Ferdinand both brothers, currently they produce miniguns, Assault Rifles etc.
