United States to Protect Philippines

In recap, recent visit of United States President Obama to Philippines last April has been a success for us Filipinos. In fact it resulted with a good feedback as it strengthened the bond between Philippines and United States. One of the agreed treaties was “security cover”.

In general the treaty signed directs United States to cover Philippines in times of trouble in terms of security issues towards its regions. The EDCA agreement is the key towards developing the defense standing of the Philippine AFP.

Now we are protected” one official said but not sure while he speaks to the reporters, “we should respect what has been stated” Clearly referring to the EEZ.  The official said that the treaty is on its final stage in which how AFP forces will be boosted by US as part of modernization program.

We are now on the critical points on how US military will upgrade and use our military facilities without any violation of the Philippine Laws and Constitutional Conduct. President Aquino is not stressing the official treaty for final agreement “Make sure everything is being look and no one should be left behind” as his final words.
