“Senator Estrada will have to leave
his post for 3 months”
The 90 days suspension has been
ordered by Sandiganbayan to Senator Estrada over its role on the Php10 billion diversions
of pork barrel funds to spurious nongovernment organizations in which these NGO’s
linked to the Janet Napoles (Pork Barrel Queen).
Remaining 21 senate members expected
to carry out the vacant duties and responsibilities which will be leaved by
Estrada during its suspension.
“Senate President surely knows how
to pact with the problem in filling up the impermanent vacancies with the
provisions of the Senate Rules”
“Officially Estrada has been
suspended as the senator of the Philippine Republic and to any other public
office that he may be holding for 90 days in receipt unless a reconsideration
will be filed.”
The order was signed by Rolando
Jurado Division Associate Justice together with Alexander Gesmundo and Theresa Estoesta.
