“Comelec Chairman Brillantes wants
to leave unforgettable legacy in his office”.
The Chairman on the Commission on
Election warned Laguna Governor “ER Ejercito” was not the last man to
face axe due to overspending case during the election period.
In an interview done by DzMM
Comelec Chairman Brillantes, he will announce the list of candidates’ nationwide
ranging from “1,000 to 2,000” that will be facing criminal sanction and
administrative charges for violating the election rules.
Those candidates that will be listed
are those who failed to file their SOCE or Statement of Election Expenditures
and those who made wrong entries or overspent something just what happen to
Ejercito.
Those candidates that will be
proven guilty will not be allowed to run into office if they have committed it
on the third strike.
The Poll Rules strongly state hat
for local candidates they are only entitled with a budget of Php3 pesos per
registered voters, exceeding its amount may subject for investigation.
“We want to show to our country
that we are not joking, we are sending a message for those who are planning to
run into office this 2016”
Brillantes said.
“We want to run after those
candidates who overspent by buying votes.”
good job for comelec...we need to see more politicians to be sampled by that laws......do it now..don't do it later....
