More than 1.65 million Filipino got employed last April

More than 1.65 million number of people got jobs nationwide, from 37.01 last 2013 of April and it rose to 38.66 million.

This was the report given by Labor Secretary Baldoz, citing 2014 labor force according to the recent survey conducted by the PSA (Philippine Statistics Authority). The secretary expressed positive outlook with the current employment situation in the Philippines.


She expressed that this result “can sustain our country’s healthy employment situation.”

Truly our DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment) reap its commitment and efforts for the government to implement projects, programs and services that impede the employment.  Secretary Baldoz added that “the situation was even included on the recent SONA delivered by President Aquino making him positive with the employment picture

Based from the recent survey it shows that 14 regions in the country have recorded employment increase, on the top list Region IV with 325,000 fresh jobs; Region III with 205,000; Region VII with 186,000; NCR 185,000 Region XI with 181,000 jobs; Region VI with 173,000 jobs ARMM 134,00; Region I with 87,000 jobs; Region X with 83,000 jobs; Caraga 52,000 Jobs; Region XII with 51,000 and CAR (Cordillera Administrative Region) 4,00 jobs.


In overall report only 3 regions suffered from job employment, namely Region II, Region IX and Region VIII.
