42 Chinese nationals arrested in a telecom fraud in Pampanga

The National Bureau of Investigation on Friday detained 42 Chinese mixed with other nationalities linked to an illegal telecom operations that operate in a residential subdivision located in Pampanga.

The raid conducted by Philippine authorities was the result of a stemmed complaint regarding its fraud operations.


Makati Judge Guanlao Jr. issued a search warrant to the NBI authorities and raided homes in Hacienda Royale, Villa Therese and San Fernando. Investigation shows that the modus of the group is to call the Victim and pretend as police or persecutors and obtain by threat money from their victims.

Those victims who fall on the trap will be force to transfer money to the group in order for them to be cleared out on their criminal charges, according to report the illegal operation of the group have netted to 50 million yuan.

With the advance technology used by our Philippine Police, they have traced the Internet Protocol of suspects’ apparatus.
