China risking 620 million markets

A confrontation appears to be imminent between China and regional neighbors this recent ASEAN meeting held in Myanmar over dispute issue in South China Sea. Recently days before the crucial ASEAN talks, China revealed its plan to build lighthouses on disputed islands.

“A total of 6 claimants in the South China Sea, we should not change the facto features of the nature. But China is likely to create an island in which it should not be, you cannot build reefs and then create island.” Political analyst Clarita Carlos said.

The said China’s plan will defy the call of United States and Philippines on the freeze of any activities involving the any portion of South China Sea. Such freeze was part of the action plan of Philippines proposed during the Myanmar meeting last weekend.

The plan by the Philippines was already backed by Indonesia, Vietnam and Brunei.

“But Beijing made it clear that it has no plan of following these calls.”

This Chinas decision will create an after effect in expense to its economic interest. China is merely using its superpower, if they are responsible with its superpower, they will not allow outsider to continue doing this.

For the sake of the economy, china may and will loss 620 million market if they will not act now and pursue its aggressive reclamation claims on South China Sea.
