Gen. Catapang doesn't want to mess up China's feathers this time as China’s Vessels still on disputed seas

The Newly appointed AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines) chief General Pio Catapang said that five to six Chinese ships are still one site roaming around the areas in the disputed South China Sea West Philippine Sea.

"That is the usual issue, they are still in Ayungin Shoal, and also in Scarborough...And then they are also at Mischief Reef because those will become their forward base in its operation," Gen. Catapang said.

Panganiban Reef or Mischief Reef was already occupied by Chinese, now they gained control over Panatag Shoal or Scarborough Shoal after the standoff with our Philippine vessels last 2012

Meanwhile, Second Thomas Shoal or Ayungin Shoal was guarded by our Filipino troops on board on the BRP sierra Madre.

Recently Philippine Government has been complaining towards Chinese ships driving away Philippine boat meant to refurbish troops need in the stuck BRP Sierra Madre.

The newly appointed AFP chief wants to visit the troops but there are certain issues hampering his visit.

"I want to (visit) but it might become a sensitive issue. I don’t want to unnecessarily make a visit that may not turn out well," Catapang said.
