Commission on Election to Binay “Clean 2016 Election”

The Comelec (Commission on Elections) yesterday assured V-President Jejomar Binay of a clean 2016 presidential election.

For the past 2 elections, in 2010 and 2013, there was no cheating happened. The races among candidates were won cleanly. There were no troubles except for some noisy supporters. Now, we are giving same assurance (to Vice President Binay) that, whatever tools will be applied, it will remain clean in the 2016 poll,” Comelec Chair Sixto Brillantes said in an open interview.

He won (VP Binay) in the 2010 pool using the PCOS (Precinct Count Optical Scan) machines. And in 2013, his daughter (Senator Nancy Binay) won with the same voting machine. So it only shows that there was no high-tech altering of results,” the Chairman added.

Recently Vice President of the Philippines warned the Comelec on a possible high tech cheating in the coming Presidential Election of 2016 in favor on a certain candidates.

Vice President Binay already announced its intention to run on the 2016 poll as President.

Chairman Brillantes said they don’t have the final decision yet as to what AES (automated election system) will be used in the 2016 poll as they are waiting for the final recommendation from the advisory council.
