A factory in East China in the
province of Jiangsu exploded killing 65 people and more than 100 were reported
injured. According to local news report the blast occurred 7:30 in the morning in
the province of Jiangsu specifically in the city of Kunshan.
CCTV News Agency in China showed
images on black smoke from a low rise building and images showing injured
individual lying on pallets loaded on ambulances and trucks.
“Lack of safety device warnings installed
on the factory causes the said explosion that killed and injured people
Zangrong Plating”. Based from Zhangrong's official website the firm has
a total of 450 workers that work on General Motors.
During the explosion, around 200
workers were on the site and minutes after 40 people were confirmed dead as
what local news agency CCTV reported.
As of now China’s rescue
authorities were trying to verify the exact number of casualties on the
reported explosion.
