The Singapore’s Defense Minister
Dr. Eng Gen recently visited Philippines to discuss partnership in dealing with
the natural disasters.
He met Defense Secretary Gazmin Thursday
at Camp Aguinaldo and also to discuss bilateral defense relations and agreed to
launch dialogue among defense senior officials both sides.

Both defense chiefs noted the
increasing need of enhancing the partnerships in dealing with the natural
disasters, said by Arsenio Andolong the acting chief of the public affairs
office of Department of National Defense.
Gazmin presented Philippines’
security outlook and efforts to make it efficient and effective.
“We look forward to a more dynamic
bilateral relationship with Singapore, as both countries address security
concerns in the Asia-Pacific region. The visit of Minister Ng is a
manifestation of a stronger Philippine-Singapore defense relations towards
regional peace and stability,” said by Gazmin in a statement.
Ng was also visited to the Office
of the Civil Defense where a dinner was hosted by Gazmin.
