The Philippine Army's M113s will
have a major upgrade from Elbit Systems. The upgrade will do a rebuilding to the
electrical, mechanical and structural elements of M113s. Elbit System will
install new and advance fire control systems equipped with night vision sensors
with intercom, GPS and radios.
The Philippines defense will supply
turrets from the 14 decommissioned Scorpion reconnaissance vehicles.
These two man turrets were equipped
with 76mm gun that can provide excellent infantry support during an extensive
offense and defense operations. Four of M113s will be equipped to tow damaged
vehicles or carry casualties.
