The Ampatuan’s are now pressured for
them to find new lawyers as City court of Quezon that handles the Maguindanao
massacre set September 17, as a deadline for them the 12 accused. These include
the Ampatuan clan to look for a replacement of their lawyers will represent in their
multiple murder case.
“They are given till September 17 only,
within which to secure services of its new counsels who will represent them in their
cases, with a warning that should they fail to do so after the lapse period,
the Court shall ten be constrained to appoint counsel who will represent them,”
Judge Solis-Reyes said in her recent order.
The two—page order by the judge
covers seven members of Ampatuan clan, patriarch Andal Sr.; Andal Jr., Sajid, Anwar;
Akmad; and Datu Ulo and Datu Ipi.
Others who have yet to hire new
lawyers were Daud, Bangkulat, Bangkulat, Abdul, and Esmail.
