Vice President Binay acquired 13
percent for every contract project in Makati as kickbacks, this amount of money
which will then used to utilized his personal use, his family, and to fund his
vice—presidential bid when he was still the Makati mayor.
This was the latest information said
by former Makati City Vice—Mayor Mercado, offered to Senate Blue Ribbon
sub-committee when it had resumed its probe in connection to the alleged overpricing
in the Makati Hall Building.
Former Makati Vice—Mayor Mercado
appeared for the second time, the last time was when he testified the hearing
of Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.
As result, Senator Trillanes moved
to invite Vice President to come into view in the next hearing and answer all the
allegations hurled by the former vice mayor.
Senator Pimentel approved the
motion to extend formal invitation to Vice President Binay.
Using a slide presentation, former
Makati vice mayor Mercado detailed how 13 percent was divided into three
portions. Using the three duffel bags, former official said that the first one
is given directly to the Makati City Mayor “Junjun” Binay son of VP Binay, who
was then Makati City Councilor during that time, the second one is for his
secretary named as “Ebeng Baloloy” and third is for “Gerry Limlingan” Binay’s
finance officer.
According to former mayor, he have
delivered personally the money. According to Mercado, he collects the bags of
money from Makati City Engineer Nelson Morales. Morales was then gunned down in
the 2012 in Albay.
