Video: Armor Body Test by a Russian Separatist

Armor protection (known as the body armor) is a whole of protective clothing that is specially designed to bludgeoning, deflect, absorb, slashing and penetrating attacks. Historically they were used to protect soldiers. Today they are used to protect various types of police, private security guards, private citizens, or bodyguards.

There are two types of body armor that exist, the regular non—plated personal armor and hard—plate reinforced personal armor, used by the combat soldiers, tactical units by the police and hostage rescue teams.

The existence of armor has a long history several thousand years ago during the ancient China. The oldest western armor is “Dendra panoply”, dating from Mycenaean Era 1400 BC. Mail is referred to chainmail that is made of interlocking iron rings, which may be riveted or welded, shut.

It is invented by Celtic people in Europe about 500 BC. When these Celts moved West they took mail with them. The Romans adopted mail as lorica hamata, they made use of the lorica segmentata and Lorica squamata.
