BPO Firm in Malaysia Apologizes for its Anti—Philippine Video

The Malaysian based global BPO (business process outsourcing company) Aegis apologized for a viral video campaign criticizing Philippines.

The said business process outsourcing company did not approve its contents of the said video developed and then it was an "uploaded in error" by the agency based in Malaysia.


"Since acquisition of People Support in 2008, Philippines have been a channel for Aegis' continuous growth. We would like to clearly articulate that Aegis has a wonderful experience in Philippines. A country with great clients, great leadership team and above all great employees," company statement posted on social media accounts.

"We apologize and regret any communication that may have inadvertently hurt any sentiments,"

Before that Philippine embassy in Kuala Lumpur asked Aegis for a thorough explanation about the said video, saying that Philippine is an “unfavorable light.”

The video cited Philippines poor road and rail network and security issues, other concerns to point Malaysia is better investment destination than Philippines.


The three minute video gone viral on the social media’s and earned criticism from the netizens.
