Another storm may enter Philippine
waters this coming Wednesday, PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and
Astronomical Services Administration) said.
The said tropical cyclone, according
to the state weather bureau said, that it is expected to enter Philippine area
of responsibility through eastern border.
Based on Japan Meteorological
Agency, the tropical storm with an international name “Vongfong” has maximum
sustained winds of 65 kph and gustiness to 90 kph. It is forecast to move west—northwest
at 25 kph.
Once it enters Philippine waters,
it will be called “Ompong.”
However the cyclone is not expected
to make a landfall over any part of our country and it will leave PAR before
weekend. This was said by PAGASA official, the cyclone seen to follow same
track as what Neneng did, as it will be heading towards southern Japan.
