If the Philippine Vice President wishes
to put an end and stop to Senate hearings on corruption allegations at him, Presiden
Aquino is not the right person to talk. Neither senator nor member of the Binay’s
party.
VPBinay should talk to all of his
allies in Senate. He have to answer the question that they have in mind the
purpose and direction of hearings, or move to suspend altogether in order to
give way to chamber’s more pressing agenda. Unfortunately for Binay, two senior
senators—Enrile and Estrada who would have been inclined to do so they are now in
detention, awaiting for the plunder trial. But still the front—runner in 2016
presidential race, But Binay is not without staunch supporters in Senate, his daughter,
Nancy the senator.
I am sure that there have been
secret negotiations within Senate in order to stop hearings. VP Binay’s
reaching P-Noy for his help that may have been beleaguered VP Binay’s last
card. And the intriguing question, why no one among senators formally made any
attempt to rescue VP Binay from no—win situation which he now finds.
