Picture: P250 million Ransom paid to Abu Sayyaf

The spokesman of the Abu Sayyaf (AS) Muamar Askali released video clip that shows that AS bandits claim to be that Php250 million paid ransom to the group as exchange for the said freedom of the two German captives.

Muamar alias Rami posted the said video clip on social media site a clip of stacks of hard cold cash in its effort to dispute to the reports that there were no ransoms paid to the bandits when they free the German couple namely Stefan Viktor and Dielen dated October 17.


The said video in the clip showed piles of bundles of Php1,000 bills in stacks of five that were neatly wrapped in a transparent plastic each stack estimated worth at Php1 million. The said ransom money was placed on the top of large plastic bag colored black.

The said video clip ran for (2:57 minutes) two minutes and 57 seconds that showed militants standing around the said ransom money bag with black flag of Islamic State as background.

Militants overheard counting in the money in Tausug dialect.


Askali showed picture of the blue traveling bags that was used in concealing of the said ransom money.
