The Former vice Mayor of Makati
and a former ally of VP Binay bared Vice President Binay's alleged unseen
foreign bank accounts.
In his recent testimony during
resumption of Senate Blue Ribbon investigation, former Vice-Mayor of Makati Mercado
showed some copies of Binay's alleged time deposits and some balance statements
in various banks in Hong Kong.
Mercado also said that there were
bank accounts under names of Gerry Limlingan
and Ebeng Baloloy Binay's long—time aides.
He also claimed in previous
Senate hearing that he have personally delivered the Binay's kickbacks to the
aides (Baloloy and Limlingan).
Mercado also pointed out that VP Binay's
declared cash in his previous SALNs were lower than cash in his alleged bank
accounts in other countries.
But Sen. Pimentel III, chairman of
Blue Ribbon Sub-Committee, said that investigation will no longer pursue on Mercado's
newest revelation in the next hearings since the issue were not covered by
inquiry's objective.
The said sub-committee is only probing
allegedly overpriced construction of Makati City Hall II parking building.
