VP Binay Man accuses Senator Triallanes of a double Standard

The Navotas Representative Tiangco chided Sen. Trillanes for applying the “double standard” in Senate investigations involving the Senate President Drilon and Vice President Binay.

Rep. Tiangco, the interim president of opposition UNA headed by VPBinay, noted that Sen. Trillanes called for termination of Senate committee inquiry into allegations of the overpricing and the construction of Iloilo Convention Center, pet project of Sen. Drilon, after just one hearing because of failure of lone whistle—blower, Mejorada, to submit its documentary evidence to the said hearing.

In contrast, Mr. Tiangco said, that Sen. Trillanes allowed whistle—blowers in Senate subcommittee inquiry into allegations on the overpricing of Makati Building construction involving VP Binay to continue on its 12th hearing even after witnesses’ “bungling” their testimony.

Sen. Trillanes urged the committee chair Sen. Guingona III not to conduct for another senate hearing on ICC after Mejorada admitted on his testimony that he only used as source of information.
