PH Planning to acquire Russian Made BMP-3F

Philippine defense authority together with Russian military defense representative talks about the chances for the Philippine defense to acquire Russian made fighting vehicle known as BMP-3F. As of now information remains unknown and results will be posted later on.

Russian deputy director recollect on Philippines modernization program in order to protect its citizen and the territorial area. “Russian Deputy Sevastiyanov” denoted that BMP-3F has been offered on Southeast Asia.

Indonesia as one among countries who have acquire BMP-3F with a 17 units in 2010 an later another 37 units has been added. BMP-3F is designed to fight coastal zone, shoreline and this vehicle can landing on sea. So vehicle is for marine defense.

Its basic specification includes 100mm general machine gun, twin 30mm gun and guided missiles to counter tanks. BMP-3F has 3 vehicle crews and can carry up to seven soldiers. In an insider report the latest version of BMP-3F is equipped with advance radar system and anti missile capability for air attacks.
