7 Workers in Clark Fired for Pinching Discounted Travel Tax



A total of seven workers in Clark Airport excluding three Tieza (Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority) employees have been dismissed off from their current jobs” this was the official statement released Tuesday.

Illegal collection of discounted tax amounting to Php1,200 to overseas passengers in Clark Airport was the main reason of their dismissal.
 
 


 The chief executive of Clark International Airport stated that “travel tax that has been authorized by Tieza to be collected from Filipinos who travel abroad was Php1,620 and for some time this type of scam was has been happening.”

If they continue to do this practice, our government will be losing money daily with this kind of illegal activity.” he added.

The names of the involve individual on illegal activities was not released, but all of them have been dismissed to their current positions and will undergo further investigation.
