C-MUSIC from Elbit Systems could have save Planes from Rocket Attacks

C-MUSIC (Commercial-Multi Spectral Infrared Countermeasure) Elbit Systems from Israel produced a way of protecting planes whether medium or large airlines against fired missiles.

Elbits C-MUSIC system from Hebrew name translated as “Sky Shield”, this is designed to protect airlines from missile attacks.

C-MUSIC system from Elbit detects approaching missiles with the advanced thermal camera. When the missile is within the range away from plane, the system automatically fires a special laser to the missile seeker. As a result the missile will deflect of on its trajectory and will explode at a distance safe from the plane.

Experiments have been made and it shows a good result even in the most sophisticated situation carried out during the testing period. C-MUSIC system successfully responds to the simulated threats on the range.

“C-MUSIC the most advanced defense system in the world, this will provide ultimate defense if installed to planes” Ministry of Israel Said. “This is a combination of disruption and detection technologies good for commercial flight protection from unexpected threats.”
