In the Philippines, a commonly used term named to Filipinos who wants other Filipino to be down, especially those people who have succeed and move ahead from them in the success of life. This attitude is not rare but this is actually common to most of Filipinos.

“Crab Mentally” is everywhere, whenever you go as long as you have been successful on your life. According to research this has been one of the factors why Philippine country is not improving, because most Filipinos possess this kind of attitude.

Let us identify some of the signs to look at if one possesses crab mentality attitude.

1. Treating others with inferiority and too proud to oneself. You can sense people like this, especially when they feel that they are on top and treating other like maids etc. small achievements they achieved is almost the whole world will know. They can be Racist for those Filipino who live in provinces.
2. They are in vain when they see their friends in success. A type of individual who is jealous, envy and bitter to others. They will be in panic when someone is in progress, normally in social Medias they are those people who are considered haters towards achievers.
3. “If they can’t, why can you” is their motto. They want to be on top and on the first row. They want other people to fall down for their success. Instead of helping one another for the benefit of both.
4. Feeling Positive but more negative to others. They see bad things to other and they don’t look at the positive side. You will not hear heartedly appreciation from them. Instead they will do things that will mess up your success.
5. Blaming others on their failures, they will put you down when you are already on a downfall situation.
6. Treating others as their mortal competitors. It’s a threat for them if someone is within their way. They act selfishly without the cooperation of others.
7. Compassion is not on their vocabulary. They don’t understand other people’s feelings. They don’t care what will happen to others, nothing else they care but there own life.
8. They think they are genius. They don’t accept comments and feedbacks as they have this thinking that they are better that you know.
