P32 million has been given by Canada to Mindanao

The government of Canada announced the Php32 million assistance to the Philippine humanitarians, specifically in Mindanao for the assistance on the recent conflict.

The Canadian funding is channeled thru IOM international Organization of Migration in order to address immediate needs of the affected areas in the Mindanao.


Canadian ensure that affected families will have access to temporary shelters, safe drinking, access to hygiene and sanitation and nutrition” this was by Neil Reeder a Canadian ambassador.

The said announcement follows in its previous announcement as Philippines as one of its “Country of Focus” Despite from the agreement between MILF and Philippine Government, the effects that happen decades ago in its Mindanao conflict in which many families live in calamitous conditions. Situations in the evacuation centers, the increasing health risk and protection concerns.


IOM will ensure humane management and provides assistance to the refugees, and other uprooted people in Mindanao.
