business has hit the 1 million mark comprising one percent of the Philippine population,
this was due to more foreign firms outsource its work in the Philippines.
“Employment outline from first
quarter was 930,000. With this data we will reach one million before the second
or third quarter the 2014 goal,” Mercado said.
IT-BPM is a business process referred to Outsourcing or BPO,
the business process expected to cap USD 18 billion worth of revenues this
2014. And officials were confident that
with this rate target for this year will be achieved.
Mercado cited expansion number of some companies as well as
the steadfast office space opportunity rate as indicators that industry was “maintaining
the increase that we achieved in years.”
In 2013, the sector has produced USD 15 billion worth of revenues
up to 17 % from USD 13.2 billion in 2012 and Employment have stood at 900,000 at
the end of2013.
