MILF (Moro Islamic Liberation
Front) and the Philippine Government have failed once more to agree on major concern,
in particular to power sharing and wealth in the proposed “Bangsamoro
Law” after the 10 day workshop in Davao City, Waterfront Insular Hotel.
According to sources, it states
that constitutionality of provisions on power sharing and possessions as well
as other complicated issues like policing, transportation, judiciary and
communication remained as tumbling blocks.
However Mohagher Igbal Chief MILF
and Miriam Coronel Ferrer government negotiator said that they have agreed on significant
portion of the said law.
They have widen a shared perceptive
on the remaining unsettled issues and challenges, which will bring back to its principals
for guidance.
The need to iron out the articles
on grants of funds on the proposed Bangsamoro Law and the budget need annually
for its operation. Iqbal said that MILF remains committed only by means of diplomatic
concession can both parties in order to solve the Mindanao Moro issue.
“The only alternative is peaceful confrontation,
one leading to lifelong peace in the motherland,”
