Lt. Gen. Delgado of Philippine Air Force immediately ordered
the grounding of the remaining seven Sokol helicopters after the recent crash
incident of a similar aircraft.
The chopper that served as
back-up with another Sokol Helicopter carrying Secretary Mar Roxas and
Secretary Gazmin, crashed shortly after its take-off from 103rd
headquarters at Camp Ranao.
The President’s cabinet aerial
convoy is to visit electric project, eleven people this includes Major General
Visaya of the 4th Infantry commander where he was on board on the
chopper.
“The Sokol Chopper had a
difficulty in gaining altitude thus it crashed” Visaya said on an
interview.
Staff Sgt. Valdez was hurt during
the crash incident. Santaigo Savedra was hit by Chopper’s debris as it went
down to the ground.

Spokesman said that Delgado immediately ordered the ground of Sokol Choppers. “Investigation
is on the process, thus we must ground the Sokol Choppers” Canaya said.
