President Aquino “frustrated” with the slow pace on Maguindanao massacre trial

President Aquino admitted that he was very frustrated with the country’s judicial system like what happen to the Maquindanao massacre that killed 58 people including the 32 journalist.

President expressed his deepest sympathies with the bereaved families of the massacre victims, who as of now still waiting for justice nearly five years after they were murdered by the alleged order of Governor in Maguindanao Andal Ampatuan Sr.

“I feel what the families are feeling. When will they get justice?” Aquino told TV5 in Filipino.

But President Aquino acknowledged legal procedures that need to be followed, especially the number of complainants and accused in the massacre case.

So frustration? Medyo (Frustration? Somehow),” Aquino said, generally referring to the slow pace of cases under the Philippine justice system.

Maguindanao massacre was no different and this did not help both government and private prosecutors have been loggerheads on handling the cases.
