“Answer and face all the corruption
allegations that was stoned on you”
This statement was the recent call
of the Manila Auxiliary Bishop Pabillo to the family of VP Jejomar Binay,
saying those lines was not as much as necessary for them to claim that they
were really victims of Philippine politicking.
“Binay and together with his
family should now answer all the accusations thrown towards them. They should
not brush off the corruption claims. It is not enough to blame on politicking,”
Bishop Pabillo the head of Public Affairs Committee of Catholic Bishops
Conference of the Philippines, said over the Church-run Radio.
Bishop Pabillo added counter
accusations were not so important. “What is important to explain is why all the
allegations are not true so that they could clear their name.”
Binay together with his family
have been accused on the alleged corruption of the overpricing construction of Makati
Hall Building, reportedly cost at Php2.7 billion.
Vice President Binay blamed
politicking, instigated by his potential rivals for the next presidential
election in 2016, the Senate investigation to the alleged overpricing of the
construction of Makati building, which most critic claimed that was the
country’s most expensive parking building.
Nicolas Enciso and Renato Bondal,
Biny’s political rivals in Makati said that the building should cost only Php700
million only.
