United States Military to sell tactical Hellfire II missiles

United States anti—armor missile experts ordering more than thousand United States made Hellfire II tactical missiles for governments of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia Jordan and Iraq. The officials of Army Contracting Command at Redstone announced the USD68.7 million contracts to Hellfire Systems LLC in Orlando to produce 1,361 Hellfire II missile models AGM-114R, AGM-114R-3, AGM-114P-4A, TGM M36E7, and ATM-114Q-6.

These missiles involved in United States foreign military sales to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia Jordan and Iraq. The AGM—114R the latest version of Hellfire II missile, the others involved in this sale are earlier, less—capable models. Hellfire System a venture of Lockheed Martin Corporation.

The missile has three—axis inertial measurement unit to enable to attack targets from side and behind. AGM—114R can be launched even from higher altitudes than previous variants because of the enhanced guidance and navigation capabilities. With the multi—purpose warhead, missile can destroy hard, soft, and enclosed targets.
